Robert Groffier
Buying the Robert Groffier Bonnes Mares 2021 means bringing home one of Burgundy's greatest terroirs. The Robert Groffier estate is one of the legendary addresses in Chambolle-Musigny, and this Grand Cru Burgundy wine embodies what Pinot Noir can achieve at its finest. The vines root deeply in calcareous clay, and the wine is aged classically in barriques – subtly, respectfully, with the aim of preserving the purity of the fruit and the minerality of the soil.
On the nose, the Robert Groffier Bonnes Mares 2021 unfolds a fascinating spectrum: dark cherries, wild berries, a hint of violets, along with delicate notes of undergrowth, truffle, and smoky wood. On the palate, it displays a firm, silky texture, supported by precise acidity and fine-grained tannins. The fruit remains concentrated, the structure complex, and the finish long and characterized by noble depth. A wine that has years of aging ahead of it – and already impresses.
