The 2020 Etienne Sauzet Champ Canet from the renowned Etienne Sauzet winery is among Burgundy's most outstanding Premier Cru Chardonnays. In Puligny-Montrachet , the epicenter of white Burgundy Wines, this wine unfolds its full potential. The time-honored Etienne Sauzet estate has cultivated its vineyards in Champ Canet with meticulous dedication for generations – the foundation for this exceptional wine.
The vinification follows classic Burgundian tradition: spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels, followed by extended aging on the fine lees. This meticulous process lends the Etienne Sauzet Champ Canet 2020 its characteristic buttery complexity without masking its mineral freshness. The use of French barriques – some new, some used – creates a perfect balance between oak notes and fruit expression.
On the nose, an enchanting bouquet of ripe yellow stone fruit, hazelnut, and subtle vanilla unfolds. The palate reveals the full splendor of this Premier Cru: a creamy texture, juicy pear, a hint of brioche, and a fine minerality reminiscent of damp limestone. The finish is long, elegant, and imbued with a saline freshness – a White Wine that impressively underscores its status.
At Wine In Time Vienna, you can conveniently order this Burgundian treasure online . We guarantee expert storage and fast express delivery directly to your home. Our selection includes rare Wines for connoisseurs – this Sauzet is a perfect example.
Serve the Champ Canet 2020 at 10–12°C with roast chicken with morels, turkey in cream sauce, or fine seafood. A wine for special moments that shows you why Burgundy enchants White Wine lovers worldwide.
