The 2017 Armand Rousseau Clos des Ruchottes comes from one of Burgundy's most prestigious vineyards and embodies the art of Pinot Noir winemaking at the Grand Cru level. The 2017 Clos des Ruchottes matures in French oak barrels, with the winery exercising extreme restraint in its use of wood. Only some of the barrels are new, so as not to mask the fruit. Fermentation takes place with wild yeasts, which lends the wine additional complexity and authenticity. The 2017 Vintage produced concentrated, perfectly ripe grapes.
