The Bonneau du Martray Corton Grand Cru 2021 comes from one of the most prestigious vineyards in Burgundy. Domaine Bonneau du Martray has cultivated parcels in the Grand Cru Corton vineyard for centuries, one of the few appellations in the Côte de Beaune known for both exceptional white and Red Wines. Here, on calcareous soils with an optimal south-east exposure, Pinot Noir grapes produce a wine of exceptional depth and finesse.
The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected at the winery. After gentle destemming, fermentation takes place in open wooden vats with natural yeasts. Aging occurs for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, with the proportion of new oak deliberately kept to a minimum so as not to mask the fruit and minerality. The result is a Pinot Noir of classic Burgundian character – never loud, always precise.
On the nose, the 2021 Bonneau du Martray Corton displays delicate aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and a hint of undergrowth. On the palate, it surprises with a silky texture, lively acidity, and a mineral component that lends it length and elegance. The finish is lingering, with fine tannins and a subtle spiciness reminiscent of juniper and dark spices.
At Wine In Time in Vienna, you can conveniently order this exceptional Grand Cru online and have it delivered directly to your home with our express delivery service. Also, discover our selection of Red Wines, featuring other Burgundian rarities.
Serve the wine at 16–18 degrees Celsius with braised game birds, coq au vin, or aged brie. It also pairs well with mushroom risotto or a tender sirloin steak. Enjoy it now or cellar it for the next ten to fifteen years.
