About the manufacturer
Romanee Conti
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is the most legendary winery in the world – and rightly so. In Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of Burgundy, this institution cultivates just 1,8 hectares of some of France's most prized vineyards. Here, Wines are produced that set standards and melt the hearts of collectors.
What makes DRC so extraordinary? Its unwavering philosophy of perfection. Every grape is treated with almost obsessive care, and each Vintage reflects the terroir with absolute authenticity. The Wines – whether the velvety Pinot Noirs like Romanée-Conti or La Tâche, or the mineral White Wines like Le Montrachet – combine elegance, complexity, and an almost meditative depth.
DRC has been cultivating its vineyards biodynamically since 1947, long before it became fashionable. This isn't a marketing strategy, but a lived conviction. You can taste the dedication, the tradition, and the uncompromising standards in every sip.
At Wine In Time you will find a carefully selected range of these precious Wines – your access to the greatest Burgundy classics.

Task
Buying Romanée-Conti La Tache 2016 means owning one of the world's greatest wine monopolies. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti has cultivated this legendary Grand Cru in the heart of Burgundy biodynamically for generations. On just 6 hectares, Pinot Noir vines thrive, their grapes vinified into a wine of unparalleled depth and complexity. The grapes are harvested by hand, fermented with wild yeasts in wooden vats, and then aged for an extended period in French oak barrels.
On the nose, the 2016 Romanee-Conti La Tache unfolds a complex bouquet of ripe cherries, raspberries, and wild strawberries, accompanied by notes of violets, cloves, and fine undergrowth. On the palate, it displays an impressive structure: silky tannins, juicy fruit, and vibrant acidity combine to create a perfectly balanced whole. The finish is endless, elegant, and characterized by a mineralizing freshness – a wine that needs time to reach its full potential.
At Wine In Time in Vienna, you can order this exceptional Red Wine online and benefit from fast express delivery directly to your home. Order the La Tâche 2016 now and secure a piece of wine history.
Serve this Grand Cru at around 16–18 degrees Celsius with fine game dishes, truffled risotto, or aged Brie de Meaux. Enjoyed on its own, it is also a treat for connoisseurs and collectors.
