Emmanuel Rouget is one of the big names from Vosne-Romanée and ranks among the top producers of the Côte de Nuits. The small estate cultivates parcels in some of Burgundy's finest vineyards – including legendary terroirs like Echezeaux and Cros Parantoux. What makes Rouget special is his purist philosophy: minimal intervention in the cellar, respectful treatment of the grapes, and a trust in the authenticity of the terroir. The Emmanuel Rouget Cros Parantoux 2009 is a rare wine from the heart of Burgundy that delights wine lovers worldwide. Emmanuel Rouget, nephew and successor of the legendary Henri Jayer, cultivates the mythical Premier Cru vineyard Cros Parantoux in Vosne-Romanée with meticulous care. This parcel, which Jayer revived from fallow land in the 1950s, comprises only 1,01 hectares – today it is among the most expensive vineyards in the world.
The vinification follows Jayer's purist approach: late harvest of perfectly ripe Pinot Noir grapes, gentle extraction, natural yeasts, and extended maceration. The 2009 Vintage matured for 18 months in new Allier oak barriques, developing its legendary depth without ever losing its Burgundian finesse. Each bottle is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and terroir perfected.
