Lafite Rothschild 2001

The 2001 Lafite Rothschild is a Premier Grand Cru Classé from Pauillac that impressively embodies the heritage of one of Bordeaux 's most prestigious estates . Château Lafite Rothschild has stood for finesse, elegance, and exceptional longevity for centuries – values reflected in every drop of this Vintage.

The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc was vinified with the utmost precision. Aging in French oak barrels gave the wine that subtle structure that distinguishes it from others. The 2001 Vintage is considered classic: not opulent, but characterized by a clear line and aristocratic restraint.

On the nose, aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, and graphite unfold, accompanied by subtle tobacco notes and a hint of violet. On the palate, the 2001 Lafite Rothschild is silky and precise, with fine-grained tannins that are perfectly integrated. The finish is long, cool, and imbued with mineral depth – a wine that needs time to breathe and has years of development ahead of it.
