About the manufacturer
Sine Qua Non
Sine Qua Non is a California winery from Paso Robles, renowned for its unconventional and extremely limited productions. The founder and winemaker follows a radical philosophy: each bottle is a work of art, each Vintage an experiment with its own name and often its own design.
You won't find any standard Wines here. Sine Qua Non works with unusual grape blends and boldly experiments with vinification and style. Wines like "The Hated Hunter" or "Kolibri" are an expression of this artistic freedom – intense, complex, and often polarizing. The winery deliberately produces in tiny quantities, making these Wines highly sought-after collector's items.
Quality is non-negotiable. Despite the playful approach, the Wines produced possess great depth and aging potential, offering a unique interpretation of the Californian terroir. Each bottling tells a story and challenges you to reconsider your expectations of taste.
At Wine In Time you will find a curated selection of these rare treasures – for all those who dare to drink beyond the ordinary.

Poker Face label damaged
The 2004 Sine Qua Non Poker Face is an absolute rarity from California, originating from one of the world's most exceptional wineries. Manfred Krankl has created a legend with Sine Qua Non – every year new names, new labels, new emotions. The Poker Face from the great 2004 Vintage is a 100% Syrah from California , vinified with uncompromising dedication and minimal intervention. The label is damaged, but this in no way diminishes the quality or character of this monumental wine.
On the nose, a captivating interplay of dark berries, roasted spices, mocha, and a subtle smoky note unfolds. The palate reveals its full potential: velvety, dense, with perfectly integrated acidity and tannins that glide across the tongue like silk. The finish is long, warming, and profoundly deep – a wine that leaves you pondering.
At Wine In Time in Vienna, you'll find exceptional Wines like this one – carefully selected and delivered to your door in a flash. Also discover our selection of Red Wines, including international rarities.
