About the manufacturer
Romanee Conti
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is the most legendary winery in the world – and rightly so. In Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of Burgundy, this institution cultivates just 1,8 hectares of some of France's most prized vineyards. Here, Wines are produced that set standards and melt the hearts of collectors.
What makes DRC so extraordinary? Its unwavering philosophy of perfection. Every grape is treated with almost obsessive care, and each Vintage reflects the terroir with absolute authenticity. The Wines – whether the velvety Pinot Noirs like Romanée-Conti or La Tâche, or the mineral White Wines like Le Montrachet – combine elegance, complexity, and an almost meditative depth.
DRC has been cultivating its vineyards biodynamically since 1947, long before it became fashionable. This isn't a marketing strategy, but a lived conviction. You can taste the dedication, the tradition, and the uncompromising standards in every sip.
At Wine In Time you will find a carefully selected range of these precious Wines – your access to the greatest Burgundy classics.

Richebourg
The 1998 Romanée-Conti Richebourg Grand Cru is among the most sought-after Wines in the world – a masterpiece from the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Domaine de la Romanée-Conti cultivates a 3,51-hectare plot within the prestigious Grand Cru vineyard of Richebourg. The 1998 Vintage is considered classic: cool nights, warm days, optimal ripening conditions for Pinot Noir. Learn more about this unique origin in our section on Burgundy Wines.
The vinification follows the DRC philosophy: hand-harvesting, rigorous selection, spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, and extended maceration. The wine then matures for 18 to 20 months in new French oak barrels. The 1998 Romanée-Conti Richebourg is currently at its peak: complex aromas of dark cherries, forest floor, truffles, tobacco, and subtle vanilla. On the palate, it unfolds a silky, multi-layered texture with fine acidity, velvety tannins, and exceptional length. The finish is endless, elegant, with a minerality that underscores its Grand Cru status.
