About the manufacturer
Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company
The Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company brings fresh energy from Denmark to your glass. This innovative distillery specializes in the art of fermented teas, creating a fascinating alternative to classic spirits and soft drinks. With products like Rod, Gron, and Bla – named after their characteristic colors – the company demonstrates the creative possibilities of working with natural ingredients and fermentation techniques.
What makes the Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company special is its minimalist, natural approach. You won't find any artificial flavors or unnecessary additives here – instead, authentic flavor profiles from carefully selected, high-quality teas and botanicals. The range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options is particularly interesting: While Rod and Gron impress with their gentle alcohol content, Lysegron and Lyserod Alcohol-Free offer the same sophistication for any occasion.
The Danish philosophy of this brand combines Scandinavian clarity with a spirit of experimentation. The result is a range of drinks with character, perfect for enjoying neat or taking your cocktails in new directions. At Wine In Time, you'll find the full spectrum of these exceptional creations – for those who think outside the box.

The Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company Rod, based in Copenhagen, combines Danish design with the art of tea vinification. This innovative manufactory creates sparkling tea compositions that elegantly unite wine culture and tea enjoyment – a pioneering achievement from Northern Europe.
Rod is created through the careful fermentation of hibiscus, white, and black tea. The blend undergoes a controlled second fermentation, which produces fine carbonation and a subtle 5% alcohol content. The result is a beverage somewhere between tea and sparkling wine, skillfully blending both worlds.
The nose reveals an intense bouquet of red berries and hibiscus blossoms, accompanied by subtle floral notes of white tea. On the palate, a vibrant freshness unfolds with fine bubbles, gentle fruit, and the elegant depth of black tea. The finish is long, refreshing, and supported by delicate acidity – a pleasure that transcends traditional categories.
At Wine In Time Vienna, you can get innovative drinks like this Sparkling Tea with express delivery directly to your home. Discover our tea selection and broaden your horizons beyond wine.
Serve Rod well chilled at 6–8°C as an elegant aperitif or with light Asian dishes, sushi, and seafood. It's also an inspiring choice with summer salads and fruity desserts.
