About the manufacturer
Pol roger
Pol Roger is one of the most traditional Champagne houses and has stood for elegant, balanced Champagnes from the Champagne region since 1849. Based in Épernay, the house enjoys a reputation among connoisseurs for creating Champagnes that combine finesse and complexity without becoming opulent.
What makes Pol Roger special is its philosophy of authenticity. The house focuses on classic champagne production, long aging periods, and the art of blending. You notice this immediately when drinking it: the champagnes are precise, mineral, and develop a fine perlage that accompanies you at every stage of enjoyment.
The "Sir Winston Churchill" series is a loving tribute to the British Prime Minister, who favored Pol Roger throughout his life. These prestige cuvées mature significantly longer than standard champagnes and showcase the House's true capabilities: complex aromas, depth, and a silky-elegant texture.
At Wine In Time you will find curated Pol Roger champagnes that are truly special – perfect if you want to experience not just champagne, but real craftsmanship.

The Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill Brut 2015 is far more than a Champagne – it is a tribute to one of the most important figures of the 20th century. The Pol Roger house in Épernay, family-owned since 1849, created this cuvée in honor of Winston Churchill, who was closely associated with the Champagne house throughout his life. Pol Roger's Champagne Wines are among the finest in the region, and the Sir Winston Churchill represents the absolute pinnacle of this art.
The vinification of Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill Brut 2015 follows strictly guarded traditions. Only grapes from Grand Cru vineyards are used in this cuvée, dominated by Pinot Noir and complemented by elegant Chardonnay. After the first fermentation, the Champagne matures on the lees for at least ten years – far longer than legally required. This extended aging gives it its exceptional complexity and depth.
The nose reveals an impressive array of aromas: ripe yellow fruits, roasted hazelnuts, freshly baked brioche, and delicate hints of honey. On the palate, the 2015 Vintage is powerful and structured, yet silky in texture. Notes of candied citrus fruits, almonds, and a subtle minerality meld into a harmonious whole. The finish is remarkably long, creamy, and elegant – a Champagne that underscores its greatness with every second.
At Wine In Time you'll find an excellent selection of sparkling Wines, including rarities like this masterpiece. We deliver the Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill Brut 2015 express to Vienna and throughout Austria – perfectly chilled and securely packaged.
Serve this exceptional Champagne at 10–12°C for elegant occasions. It pairs perfectly with lobster, scallops, truffled dishes, or aged Parmesan. A Champagne that breathes history and celebrates indulgence.
