About the manufacturer
Emmanuel Rouget
Emmanuel Rouget is one of the big names from Vosne-Romanée and ranks among the top producers of the Côte de Nuits. The small estate cultivates parcels in some of Burgundy's finest vineyards – including legendary terroirs like Echezeaux and Cros Parantoux. What makes Rouget special is his purist philosophy: minimal intervention in the cellar, respectful treatment of the grapes, and a trust in the authenticity of the terroir. His Pinot Noirs are characterized by elegant structure, fine tannins, and impressive complexity – they are not bombastic, but precise and expressive.
The Wines mature in open fermentation tanks and are traditionally aged in wooden barrels. The result is Burgundy Wines with great aging potential, combining power and finesse in equal measure. Whether the accessible Village Wines or the Grand Crus – you'll recognize Rouget's craftsmanship and uncompromising commitment to quality in every one.
At Wine In Time you will find a carefully curated selection of his best bottles – authentic Burgundies that you can drink exactly as they were intended.

The Emmanuel Rouget Echezeaux Grand Cru 2019 is among the great Burgundies of our time. Emmanuel Rouget, nephew and heir of the legendary Henri Jayer, continues his uncompromising craftsmanship and vinifies at the highest level in Flagey-Échezeaux. His Burgundy Wines are in demand worldwide, as they combine tradition with unmistakable precision.
The 2019 Echezeaux Grand Cru matures in carefully selected barriques, a third of which are new. The extended maceration and meticulous aging process create a Pinot Noir that combines depth with lightness. Each bottle bears the mark of a perfectionist who gives the terroir space to express itself.
On the nose, aromas of dark cherries, raspberry liqueur, and delicate spices unfold – clove, cinnamon, and a hint of undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is robust and classic: velvety tannins, precise acidity, and a texture like the finest silk. The finish is long, mineral, and lingering, with an elegance that resonates for hours afterward.
At Wine In Time , you can conveniently order this Grand Cru online and receive it quickly and securely delivered to Vienna or anywhere in Austria. Discover other rare Wines in our selection of Red Wines – curated for wine lovers like you.
Serve the Emmanuel Rouget Echezeaux 2019 at 16–18 °C with braised duck, roast goose, or tender game birds. A wine that makes great moments even greater.
