Les Suchots 2003

Buying the Mongeard Mugneret Les Suchots 2003 means securing an exceptional piece of Burgundy history. Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret is among the most respected producers in Vosne-Romanée , where the family has cultivated Premier Cru vineyards for generations. Les Suchots is located on the southern edge of the commune and produces Wines that combine power with Burgundian finesse.

The 2003 Vintage was characterized by extreme heat – a year that produced concentrated, ripe Pinot Noirs. The grapes were hand-harvested, fermented in traditional open wooden vats, and then aged in French oak barrels. This classic vinification allows the terroir to express itself, while aging lends the wine structure and depth.

On the nose, the Mongeard Mugneret Les Suchots 2003 reveals aromas of ripe cherries, dried rose petals, and a hint of undergrowth. On the palate, it unfolds a silky texture, supported by concentrated fruit, fine tannins, and a spicy component reminiscent of cloves and leather. The finish is long, elegant, and punctuated by a vibrant acidity that lends this wine remarkable freshness.
